If you didn’t know (but of course you did!), we’re HUGE fans of intentional and strategic marketing to your sphere of influence.

So, when we listened to Agent Operations client Shauna Ganes

on her recent “Do It and Be Glad You Did” podcast, we swooned! Shauna and her team at The David Morris Group of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates in Reno, NV ascribe to adding value to their sphere of influence, and she shared innovative and practical tips for spring client outreach for real estate professionals.

Here are our favorite takeaways from Shauna’s Spring Client Outreach podcast:

  1. Plan your marketing calendar in advance. When you have a roadmap of how you plan to add value to your sphere of influence, you can better prepare, execute, and track results. Make sure to stick with your plan for at least an entire year (no start-stopping).
  2. Think about the different “levels” of your sphere of influence: 1) your entire database, 2) your current-year clients, and 3) your “Top 100” ravings fans. How will you market to each segment? For example, perhaps your “Top 100” receive a monthly pop-by, but everyone in your database receives a high-value, locally-focused email newsletter. You have different levels of SOI engagement and brand ambassadors, so make sure to show lots of love to those who are passionate about you.
  3. Out-of-the-main-stream holidays are great opportunities to send cards that get noticed. In Shauna’s market (Northern Nevada), Nevada Day commemorates the state’s October 31, 1864 admission to the Union. Shauna takes the opportunity to send cards on this out-of-the-main-stream holiday, and her marketing gets noticed. Earth Day and Memorial Day are great spring opportunities to reach out to your sphere of influence.
  4. Leverage the talents of others and delegate whenever possible. In full disclosure, we received an awesome shout-out from Shauna in this part of her podcast, and we loved it! (YESSSSSS!)
